If Bradley Is Legit Opposition For Pac, Does That Mean Ortiz Was Legit For Floyd?

Yes Victor Ortiz was a legit shot for Floyd, that's the reason why Mayweather did everything out of proportion to beat his foe in the ring. Ortiz performance over Berto is more than enough to say he deserve to fight the best next. Floyd really did good picking Ortiz as his opponent.
And for Pacquiao maybe Bradley is a legit fighter to face next, besides their match up should have been made before he fought at welter, it seems Pac just went lurking at light welter and avoided Tim after facing Hatton. I think it would be a great fight to see if they do it at 140.

However, I honestly believed Floyd could have neutralized Victor anyway, that is without robbing the fans of a good fight.
Sure, Oritz made it ugly already, but why stoop down? Why not humiliate the **** out of Ortiz by making him pay for the full 12 rounds?

Compare it to how Pac handled Sanchez and you'll see what I mean.

It was in response to someone posting about Bradley's RING #9 P4P ranking and someone who responded to them about "where is his ranking at WW?"

I brought up Marquez to show the double standard of people treating Bradley's P4P stature as justifying his lack of WW stature, yet that doesn't apply to an even more P4P elite guy in Marquez (who has since shown us that at 142 lbs, is still one of the very best out there).

 

Ortiz was a good fight for Mayweather no matter what any haters say about it making fun of the young hungry lion phrase.

Ortiz was a big strong aggressive guy with major KO power and fought out of a south paw stance which Mayweather was supposed to have problems with.

TB and Pac are MUCH closer in size then Floyd and JMM never were. More spin job.

 

Between them in the most recent fights we've seen floyd and pac fight the number 3 ww, the number 5 p4p, the number 1 lww and the number 1 lmw.

Once you get over the fact they aren't fighting each other, that's a pretty damn good series of fights between them.

Of course ortiz was a legitimate opponent for floyd, the guy came up to 147 and impressively beat a young undefeated strong WW in berto to win the WBC title. He earned his shot right there. Him losing to maidana at the lower weight class has no bearing on his reputation at 147. Considering the size of ortiz one could even make the case that he was actually draining himself to make 140 and was losing a lot of power. This point is reinforced by freddie roach who had ortiz train at the wild card for a bit.
