He would have lost to a great many, maybe all of them. Nielsen beat a few names on his way up, but they were well past it. There is no comparison in ability between a young Ali and a Brian Nielsen working his way up.

 

Yeah, I would say Holmes was bribed. I dont think there is any doubt that Williams was bribed, that was a pretty big scandal when it happened. All those guys were bribed just like Emmanuel Augustus was bribed to lay down to Vester.

Tim Witherspoon stated point blank in his book "Terrible Times" that he took a dive in the Nielsen fight. He said Nielsen's team was paying boxers to take dives.
