If Briggs beat Haye in Sept, could he get a title shot after?

    No, neither deserve a shot.

Two big power punchers. If Haye can get Briggs into round 3 plus. He will have a field day. Don't think Briggs is conditioned for a long fight.

He showed pretty good durability in his last major fight about 6 years ago against Vitali Klitschko but it just meant that he took one hell of a beating for the full 12 rounds and should have been stopped by the ref. His face was mess after that fight with broken nose, fractures around both eyes and busted ear drum.

In fact since the Haye fight will be in England, I can easily see the ref there stopping the fight if Haye rocks the 44 year old Briggs with just a few shots. Maybe even the first time he has him in any trouble. He won't need to knock him down.

power stays with a fighter. if he once has it, he keeps it a long time. with that said...unlikely he will land it. he is aging, asthmatic etc. ok...let's say he ko's Haye. stranger **** has happened.could Briggs end up with a last shot at a title? Yeah. Wilder would probably be too afraid to take him on. however, if his team heard a rumor that Briggs had stage 4 cancer and was weakening each day...yeah he might take a chance with Briggs.

Which is another way of saying he has no chance.
