If Briggs beats Browne, that will be a huge boost to the legacies of Vitali and Lennox

True in a sense but I think we have to see which Briggs shows up.Age is one thing but training smarter is another. I think most are over looking Briggs and overating Browne here. looking at both and disgarding how good or bad their previous opponents have been,im taking Briggs by k.o before the 6th round. for me its a minor upset if Browne wins.

So winning the burger King title against some Crum bum is worthy of credit

A moderate boost. Alot of Vitali's wins have generally been decreasing in luster the last few years, so it would even it out a bit. I doubt he'll beat Browne though.

Briggs might win but he's in his mid forties and hasn't fought anyone good in 6 years, not sure what he is now. For all his flaws, Browne did ko Chagaev this year. Can't see how Browne shouldn't be favored for those reasons

Chagaev would lose to most top 20 guys now, nothing special but Brownes chin held up. briggs is 44 but if hes in fighting shape the numbers mean little. Experiance and talent is what Briggs has over browne,i don't think age is a big factor really here.

Think how pumped up Briggs will be if he does knock browne out, after chasing so many titleholders and losing what title shots he does get .....then finally .....BOOM!!!

that guy will be on cloud nine !!!

I am picking Briggs to win

A Briggs win does nothing for Lennox or Vitali legacy wise. It does secure Shannon a significant payday though.

**** Browne, Briggs for the win!

No surprise if Briggs wins by KO, I like Browne but he was knocked down & losing to fat Chagy before he landed the big right hand. IMO Browne just needs to keep away from Briggs early as no doubt old man Briggs will gas then Browne can get the late stoppage.

Briggs can throw a hell of a punch, this could really be an interesting or terrible fight. Very hard to predict what will happen.

This is Briggs chance to really sell himself and capture a title for a cash out fight.

Lucas is going to be right in front of Briggs so I expect this fight to be pretty good. I can see Briggs playing the role of the boxer, bouncing landing some jabs and rocking lucas with some big shots, Lucas getting pissed and landing some big shots of his own... Damn I think I just hyped myself up for this fight!!!

Yeah, it's actually a really fascinating fight. Neither really deserves a title shot, especially Briggs, but if Briggs is even the same guy who fought Vitali he could win. And the winner would be a real top 10 hw. It's one of those fights where you can't help but think, " this is the plus side of wierd, edges up alphabet belts dynamics".
