Like James Toney said, he had his PINK SKIRT on and ran away from punches. This is the self proclaimed TOUGHEST SON OF A ***** out there.
Because he was damn near unconscious you idiot. Toughness doesn't mean never getting hurt: see Nog's entire career.
First of all I gotta laugh at that **** cuz that's hilarious. DAMN NEAR UNCONSCIOUS. You can't even do that kinda **** in an amateur boxing ring without getting **** for it. This is a grown man, professional "fighter" that is literally RUNNING in full speed away from a man he is supposed to be fighting.
He did the classic "meathead who doesn't know how to fight move" when punches started raining down on him. Head down, hands awkwardly up and turn around away from danger.
Experience plus the fact he was hurt and not thinking but surviving. I agree he looked like a ***** BUT if he was actually a ***** then why didn't he tap or pretend to be ko'd or quit in between rounds! He rode the wave.
Brock is no striker. Simple as that. He's still obviously very inexperienced on the feet. That was a pretty embarassing display, I will admit. But, he took everything Carwin had and came back roaring the next round, ready to implement his strengths once Carwin had shot his wad. Good for Brock.
To me i think Brock was fearful of Carwin's power and panicked as the shot landed and because he's not used to being hit hard he did all he knew to do in that situation and that's run. Other fighters would of went about it a lot better then what he did but he got the 'w' so it worked for him...but i must say it didn't look great for the supposed toughest S.O.B on the planet.
Just because Brock got hurt and had to regroup too many people are trying to discredit his victory. Hell, Boom Boom Mancini got hit by a right hand from Alexis Arguello and he turned and walked away that doesn;t mean he can't fight. If anyone thinks that Brock showed weakness in getting stunned by Carwin - they are sadly mistaken. In fact he has shown that he is much tougher than anyone expected. George Foreman got knocked down three times by Ron Lyle but he still got up to KO Lyle for good. Lesnar is tough as nails and strong as a bull and he is without a doubt the premiere force to be reckoned with in the heavyweight division.
Brock isnt the toughest SOB or Baddest Man on the Planet but dude wake up hes cleary a good fighter hes just not a very good striking and isnt all that experienced with getting hit clean and hard. If Brock gets his double and gets on top well thats where he is a dangerous fighter.
