He would definitely be more hittable and open to counters for sure. And I don't think he punches hard enough or accurate enough to make that trade off. Part of his durability is due to hI'm being pretty slick and not engaging his opponent enough, leaving him open to big counters.
135 is weak, you yourself make broner at his best only third best in a top heavy division. i think broner is a natural 140er, where he has tough fights vs several fighters there, none of which are A level.
How good could Paulie have been if he could punch like Golovkin? How good could Toney have been if he trained as hard as Mayweather? How good could Khan have been if he had a granite chin? See where I'm going with this?
Broner had 8lbs on that Mexican Leprechaun Ponce and many feel dog trainer/wino Fernando Quintero also beat Broner's ass too.
Damn you nailed it , just proves how important it is to be mentally tough and be physically gifted to be truly elite.
Broner is a weight drainer plain and simple he got by at those lower weights because he was bigger and stronger than those guys. They also couldn't take his punch down at those lower weights. He could get outworked down there and still load up and look for the perfect counter and stop or hurt guys with it. When he moved up guys were his size or bigger and they could take his power and then he was done.
He doesn't let his hands go for a reason. He would be countered and knocked out. Hector Camacho who was much better than Broner obviously. had the same problem, but that was due to Rosario and being gunshy.
