If Brook didn't get a freakish injury what round would he have won?

There's that 'if' word again.

 

Wasn't getting smashed?! He already got smashed, another round with Spence and Brooks eye might have fallen off.

 

In your opinion. But the only opinions that really count are the judges and hardly surprisingly they saw it very differently to you.

 

Spence looked strong but have to say limited in his ability against Brook.
I think possibly a split decision to Brook or a draw.

 

A lot of biased morons here who can't admit brook was winning the fight even after 8 rounds according to American and British commentators

 

GGG ruined Brook

 

After 8 rounds the judges had it exactly even :

77-75 Spence.

77-75 Brook.

76-76.

But all three judges then had Spence winning rounds 9 and 10.

 

Gosh.

 

First of all, I give Spence the credit I think he deserves. He did what he had to do to get the win. He had to dig deep and hang in there at times, but he came through it like true champions do. Fair play to him for that. But, until Brook's eye injury, I think in the 7th, most that scored the fight, both British and American, had Brook ahead on the cards up until that point. If it wasn't for the eye injury, I personally think that Brook would of gone on to a comfortable decision win. The eye injury was a game changer and Spence went on to a deserved victory imo.

 

Spence caused the eye to swell up by punching. Kell was gassing by then.

Not sure he would have. Spence was the better fighter.

 

4-2 up after 6 for Brook imo but he was beginning to blow, ESJ took over and he'd knocked the fight out of Brook up until the stoppage, eye injury or not.

Brook is still top level, he just lost to the better fighter....a bloody good one at that.

 

brook lost to the 2nd world class guy in his division that he fought.

whether he is world class or flash in the pan has yet to be determined.
