I just have never seen a boxer get so many free passes. Don't get me wrong he is talented but he is not this dominant boxer people make him out to be. The fact is the 2 very best boxers he faced he simply lost with one almost shutting him out the entire 12 rounds. And yet by the way he is described you would think he had Julian Jackson type power and he does not. Or he was on par with Wilfred Benitez for defense and again not even close. He's a Soild skilled boxer who was the number one draw in boxing therefore he made people money so it was vital that he lose. He hasn't scored a knockout in what three years and everyone is talking about this "power"?????? Either start fighting the best or stop calling yourself the best its gotten really old. He really hasn't fought anyone of note since Bivol pinned his ears back.
The social media generations belief that SNAC/Victor Conte is a PED warehouse for the boxers who are sponsored by SNAC is beyond laughable. It's easy to say but extremely difficult if not impossible to prove. If Crawford or any other SNAC sponsored boxers is using PED's they would have been doing it long before they met Conte, and Conte wouldn't want to risk another charge/jail time by being involved. But 'fantasy' is part of the social media generations mindset. Reality is a bit too much for them.
Oh, boy, it will be a great day when y'all stop crying about Madrimov and every other fighter coming up short vs Crawford. Y'all try to talk them up like they are threats, then Crawford runs through them, then all of a sudden, they weren't anything to begin with. Madrimov LOST. He knows, his camp knows it, the judges knew it. Quit crying. Still waiting on y'all new found Madrimov lovers to point out just one point in the Crawford fight were he controlled the action. I've yet to hear anything, yet y'all claim it was close. Then in the same breath turn around and claim Vergil destroyed him..... Get out your emotions so you can see how idiotic that statement is. Madrimov went 12 rounds & lost in a Unanimous Decision to both Vergil & Bud. In both fights, 2 of the judges scored it 115-113. The fight vs Crawford he got a 116-112, while Vergil got a 117-111.......Ooooo, that's a drastic difference to show Vergil destroyed him, but Bud struggled. Let's look at the punch stats......Crawford was hit 84x by Madrimov while Vergil was hit 127x by him. While I'm not one to lean on Compubox's states too much because in many fights they score punches and not score punches that are clear to everyone but the one recording the stats. But one thing is for certain.......Madrimov respected Crawford's power and counter punching ability much more than he did Vergil's. Madrimov didn't throw a single combination in the first 6 rounds. (prove me wrong....I'll wait) He did more feints than he punched. And when he did punch, it was a single shot and then cover up. He did everything he could not to get touched by Crawford. When he did decide to exchange with Crawford he got rocked in the 8th, 10th, & 12th rounds. But vs Vergil, Madrimov had a different game plan. He attempted to exchange with Vergil early and often. Taking some of Vergils best shots but kept punching. He threw 466 punches vs Vergil, compared to 275 vs Crawford. He didn't hit the canvas vs neither, but he got rocked by both. How's bout we look at Madrimov's face after the Crawford fight vs his face after the Vergil fight. Or if you want look at Vergil's face after fighting Madrimov vs Crawford's face after Madrimov........ But Vergil destroyed him while Crawford had a close fight right?.....lol. Should we ignored the fact that Madrimov was so sick that his doctor advised him not to fight Vergil Ortiz, but he chose to do so anyway and still went 12 rounds while throwing more punches and taking more hits.......lol. It must be a pathetic life you live to spend so much energy hating a man who you never met, who's done nothing to you, and he doesn't even know you exist.......lol. The only proof that a fighter has had an enhancer is a failed drug test.... You know the tests that they have to take before, after, and sometimes during camp when going into a championship fight. The funny part of it all is, Crawford has zero events documented of him failing and/or refusing a drug test at any point in his career pro or amateur...... Meanwhile, Canelo has been documented for failing 3x......But it's Crawford that you are choosing to attack for his greatness and potential victory over Canelo.......lol.
Crawford's style is and has always given Canelo issues throughout his career. When Canelo first warmed up to even sharing the ring with Crawford after brushing off the question for months, first thing he mentioned was that Crawford isn't as mobile as he once was. Meaning Canelo needs Crawford to sit in front of him and use less angles. It's why he wanted to fight Spence years ago and instead got Amir Khan, who clearly didn't deserve the fight by any means, and is known to leave himself open for a Canelo type counter. Khan had success vs Canelo for 4 rounds before getting slowed down by a swift body shot, eventually getting put to sleep a round or 2 later. P.S. I will probably have to disagree with you being "the 1st to pick Crawford or mention this fight"...... I remember this fight being mentioned on another board after the Amir Khan/Terence Crawford fight. It was discussed thoroughly. Someone mentioned that Crawford could go up to (160 at the time) and challenge Canelo and would beat him given what Crawford did to Khan in round one, it took Canelo 5/6 round to do. Regardless, I'm with you. I got my popcorn ready for all that back tracking and excuses for Crawford's ability to shock the world once again.
Bud is smaller, older, inactive, and not remotely effective at 168. Gonna be seem so obvious afterward
