Bute just didn't look like himself that night. IMO 2 possible sets of factors:

    1) he was drained and/or not at his top shape because of the bizarre training camp he had (he started in January then slowed down, got back to work, injured his leg, flew over to England: all these factors could explain he was not at his peak)

    2) he was scared

    I don't believe in number 2, obviously because I'm a fan.

All I want is Bute being himself in the ring. He was not against Froch.

All the fights in Montreal and Quebec after Andrade 1 were officiated by American referees.

All it took was one clean shot from Froch to make him tremble and **** his pants. Honestly, he has no hope even back in Canada.

Bute completely relies on his opponent dancing to the beat of his drum. Froch won't do that and he'll get done again, maybe a bit later, maybe earlier - but he'll get sparked again.

I don't think he was scared, although he certainly did not seem to have the competitive fire one might expect.

I don't know if he was drained or not. I can't recall if his team offered that up as an excuse or not. I will say this.... His punch resistance, or lack thereof, was remarkable.

He was fine in round 1 and in the 1st portion of round 2. Then it came apart. Don't know if that speaks to an injury or not.

Bute caught Froch with some good shots in the first 3 rounds .

    R1: 0:35 - Bute sent an uppercut to Froch's body ( it landed on Froch's chest )

R1 : 0:42 - a nice clean hard counter left hook to Froch's chin by Bute.

    R2 : 0:57 - straight left cross caught Froch's left head side.

    R2 : 1:07 - nice hard left uppercut to Froch's chin.

R3 : 1:28 - nice combo by Bute to Froch's head. After this combo, Bute entered in survival mode and got panicked when Froch fired back.

What Bute did wrong imo ?!

I noticed that after Bute landed something semnificative , Froch fired back with more shots and aggression . Bute was petrified , doing nothing , NO moving on his legs , NO body movement , nothng ! He just stood there doing nothing but taking hard shots from Froch !

I also noticed that Bute right slapping right hook ( same right hook wich Bute throwed in Johnson fight ), worked and bothered a little Froch !

Anyway Froch has a great chin. He took Bute's best shots and he didn't even flinch !

I was at the fight and stood next to the railings while Bute was on the podium and trust me, the crowd had got to him.

It's true that Froch' attitude bothered Bute. Even when receiving his best shots, Froch was still replying. I think Bute's shots were painful but Froch is able to cope with pain and fire back. What I wrote in my previous post was nothing to diminish Froch: he was outstanding that night.
