Depends on where you're located. In Canada, I'm sure Bute probably had more hype. In the U.S., Broner was the one with the absurd P4P ranking and the network hype in full swing that basically built him up as Mayweather by Proxy.

I still think Broner can improve and get better and a do some great things....

He gets so much advice from floyd i dont see how they didnt let him know the jump to 147 was too soon too fast and that he should gradualy work his way up to it....

Floyd and Pac touched every division as they moved up....i think thats the smart way to do it

Broner is defiantly the more hyped one of those two - since he was suppose to be the next superstar, he has been exposed. But Bute pre-Froch was hyped up to be quicker and more powerful than Ward and Froch, which was absolutely ridiculous. Both hype jobs that got exposed, one from US and one from Canada.

Too quick to call a 24 y/o fighter in his 3rd weight division a hypejob.

HOw is a young kid who has won titles in 3 weight divisions a "C" class fighter??

You must have extremely high standards if you think he's a C level fighter. Up to this point, he's achieved more than Lucian has who is his senior by about 7-8 years.

Adrien shoudn't campaign past 140, at least not anytime soon. He should've taken the more conventional approach- stay down at LW and clean out the division for the next year or 2 and than go up to 140 and fight at that division for another 2 years or so. That would make him 28 by that point and than if his body continues to fill out, he can make the jump to Welter.

Going from 135 to 147 and fighting for a title without a few tuneups first was very ambitious on Adrien's part. He was fortunate enough to take on the weakest titlist at 147 at the time and win.
