Exactly! Bute was an undefeated world champion defending his title for the 10th(?) time, with an 80% KO ratio, also the majority of fans, pundits, and ex pros had Bute winning by either easy UD or late stoppage.

What Carl froch did was incredible, to destroy an opponent of butes caliber the way he did deserves tremendous credit. What he doesn't deserve is some people turning round and saying about how Bute was garbage and a hypejob, If he was garbage he would have been exposed far earlier.

That's what's wrong with boxing fans now, after big fights they focus on the loser and ridicule them instead of praising the victor! Rant over.

Bute KOed Berrio, Magee, Miranda, and Andrade. He won wide decisions over Glen Johnson and Sakio Bika. Is this the resume of a hype job? Lacy didn't have that caliber level list of fighters on his resume going into Calzaghe (who he was favored to KO then). Seriously, Bute is an excellent fight who hits hard. Too bad Froch has an iron chin and hits just as hard.

 

Froch brought down a hypejob everyone hated. He gets credit for this more than his ring prowess this time out. Fair enough, he's still highly regarded.
