If Bute vs Pavlik is going to happen , where it should be ? ( the venue )

yet both taylor and pavlik will be remembered and bute will not as things stand now

both taylor and pavlik have been legit world champs, bute hasn't achieved anything of note except racking up hometown wins and getting dominated by a SMW gatekeeper in the only time he stepped up

don't fall into the trap of over-rating a fighter who hasn't even graduated to the top level of the sport yet

 

I didn't think Bute would struggle against Froch either. Pavlik isn't a bad boxer and I'm not sure at this point that Bute can really hurt him and that would be VERY bad for Bute. I look for Bute to come out and stay on the back foot. Thing is though, once you lose the OH the judges don't give you as much credit for that kind of game plan as you are used too. That's why I don't see Arum letting this happen in Canada where he probably would still win rounds doing that. Bute has shown a nice body attack in the past but to deliver that he has to be in Kelly's wheel house and he still looked pretty damned gun shy last time out. I don't care what he said about the final rounds that was still a low level opponent he was in with.

if bute can beat pavlik, it will keep him in the loop, but he's on shaky ground

pavlik has been off the radar for a long time, but a bute - pavlik fight makes a whole lot of sense for me

it's a not a good fight to lose for either guy

Canada. It's not a title fight, Pavlik is not undefeated so what does he have to lose? He already has a big reputation. If he goes over there, people will see him fighting in a big arena full of people and think "oh, Pavlik is back." If he has a good fight and gets robbed, people will want to see him in another big fight anyway. If he gets destroyed, the same thing would have happened anywhere and this way he gets max pay.
