if calzaghe and collins had fought

    It's funny because I don't think Calzaghe ever reached a medium between aggressive punch power and slick boxing skills due to injuries to his hands. What a force he could be if he could put it all together just for one last fight against Pavlik and show everyone what he really could do if he wasn't inhibited by hand injuries. He could literally blast that kid out of there and any remaining doubts would be smashed to pieces.

    Joe vs Collins - to me, it's not a regretable situation. It was lose-lose for Collins and is a bit like the Carl Froch/Joe Calzaghe situation now. Calzaghe has nothing to gain from fighting Froch and neither did Collins way back when. In many ways, I think it would have been a similar fight to the Eubank one. But Collins heart wasn't in the game so I could see him possibly quitting in this one.
