    That seems reasonable enough.

Axe, who do you think would win a bout between Calzaghe and Hopkins?

Today? I think Calzaghe wins a clear-cut decision. Hopkins just doesn't have the gas anymore, imho.

Prime for prime I believe Hopkins wins the same way.

See, I believe Hopkins would use Calzaghe's superior workrate AGAINST him....I really do.

Time him on the way in, etc? And rough him up on the inside (as in every Hopkins fight). This would work but only to an extent. Taylor was able to win a large number of rounds against Hopkins on workrate alone, so I think Joe would win about 8 rounds this way. Though I wouldn't count Bernard out compeletely, not for another year or so anyway. :yep

Calzaghe will have to beat Bute before being a top3...

By that way of seeing it you could be in weightclasses where - no matter how good you are - there is simply no possibility of becomming top p4p.
Not saying i completely disagree - just saying im not sure it's that simple to set up a general rule.

I have him number three now.

But he stays there with a win, with Pac and Floyd still above him.
