If Calzaghe comes out of retirement to face the winner of the super six, and wins, how much of a legacy boost would he get?

Very big. They'd have to fight at 175 though...I don't think all the coke in the world is putting him at 168 again. Let alone small recreational amounts.

If he were capable it would be big...is it possible given Calzaghe's age and the layoff? NO.

It'd help a fair bit, I doubt he could make 168 anymore though.

I just hope that Joe stays in retirement and preserves his legacy.

As much as cold numbers count for little in boxing (on their own), it is a little bit magical when an excellent fighter retires with his '0' still intact.

It would be a huge disappointment if an ill advised comeback cost Calzaghe that honour.

None, because he would lose. Calzaghe got put down by the corpse of Roy Jones in his last fight. That tells me he is not sharp enough to take on a prime world-class fighter like Ward or Dirrell now... if in fact he ever was.

You think? I've heard it from a few places that he's thinking about it.

His dad said he wouldn't be training him though.

    He would get embarrassed

imagine calzaghe vs old ass b hop again except the roles would be reversed, with Ward being his opponent

If he were to come out of retirement, make 168, and beat Andre Ward though, that would be amazing.
