Beating Froch would do nothing in temrs of accomplisment. That would be so easy to beat slow Carl! May be that would be interesting in terms of cash. Does Joe wants more and more cash?
It would be a nice little domestic fight to finish his career on, especially with Froch's world title fight being on ITV. Personally I'd like to see the Hopkins rematch. There's unfinished business there.
I agree with the Hopkins and Kessler view. Although all the people who before last nights fight were talking **** about Calzaghe feasting on past it fighters, now want him to fight Hopkins again. All convinced that Hopkins just didn't show up for their first fight and would dismantle him in a rematch. Ridiculous. But, imo, Bute dosen't pose any sort of threat to Calzaghe. Yes, he might take 2-3 rounds off him, but ultimately Calzaghe is just too good for him. Although I expect decent things from Bute in the future.
Calzaghe will never be considered a true champ until he beats Paul Williams. Funny how people aren't starting threads accusing Hopkins of ducking Calzaghe since he was calling out Roy Jones Jr at the end of the fight.
I would like to see an hopkins re match, but it should be on JC terms so make hopkins come to wales if he wants the re match.
im a big jc fan so i wouldnt mind him carrying on but why risk when hes pretty muched retired in his mind already,he views the rjj fight as his swansong,so why carry on if hes not 100% into it.
I don't think that there are any fights out there that would really interest Joe so I voted retire. But, I would also suggest that Joe would want his farewell fight to be in Wales, against who exactly? No idea. I'm waiting for all the Calzaghe Haters to start saying "He's ducking Chad, he's ducking Chad!" just like they said he was ducking Pavlik... The truth is that Joe just wants to mega fights for the mega bucks, and I'm not sure there is any out there for him.
Fight Hopkins and settle it once and for all. In the record book, he only won by SD (although I had him winning it by 2 points). I think that itself warrants a rematch.
