If Calzaghe fights Hopkins, he is going to be ripped no matter the outcome.

If Joe fights Pavlik he'll get a ton of credit. Pavlik is undisputed champion at middleweight, and though people will say he had to move up, JC will still get credit.

I dont see bhop retiring even if jc beats him to proud for that . JC vs Pavlik could be interesting and i think a better fan fight for jc than fighting bhop but it is all going to br about the money

Joe C. will probably still be ripped by his detractors regardless of the outcome, but that's no different from any other fighter. Hopkins wins are discounted by those who don't like him; Tarver was old and weight drained, DLH and Tito were too small; WW was old and small; etc. It happens to just about every fighter.

I'll go on the record right now and say that fighting a 43 year old Hopkins is strictly a money fight for Calzaghe. Hopkins throws about 50 punches a round, is little threat of knocking JC out, and will at best provide a close controversial fight.

The buildup of the fight will be the most entertaining aspect of the contest. It'll be like the circus parade coming to town and afterwards we're all gonna feel like the guy who has to sweep up the elephant ****.
