Calzaghe's both a more advanced and more physically talented than Ali P4P.

This argument is a non-starter. We'd have to imagine a 36 year-old Hopkins against Kessler, which can be done, to a 42 year-old Calzaghe against Taylor and Tarver, which is impossible because we don't know and cannot extrapolate what Calzaghe would be like at 42 - it's too far ahead!

we can all play these silly games, here's another one for you....

omar sheika decisioned glencoffe, in sheikas next fight he got shredded in 5 by calzaghe. calzaghe takes no more than 2 and a half rounds to knock RJJ's husband out.

    thanks for playing. :smooch

holy ****,some of the comments on here are amazingly insane, robin reid caught joe oin a bad night, joe still went on to win and has become an ATG in the process, being KD'd means **** all, anyone can be caught good enough to get kd'd by anyone.
joe loses a UD to RJJ and thats it,he has an easy night with the likes of echols,ODLH and especially tarver.
how would bhop cope with the power of kessler or the unorthodoxy of eubank?not very well i think.

btw,****ing boxrec warriors, sort yourselves out,you make yourself look stupid all too often.

Roy vs. young Joe is a fight i'd ****ing love to see though.

    yeah he'd have 1 loss.

Hopkins with Joe's resume probably none. although Kessler would really test him imo

    No he doesnt.

Glen Johnson troubles him...maybe beats him. It would be a tough fight (tho I favor Joe). Winky troubles him with superior defense and similar output. Tarver troubles him with size and strength. Jones beats him. I think Echols also gives him hell. Taylor as well.

That said, Hopkins is undefeated fighting Joe's resume.

Echols is made for Calzaghe. big aggressive punchers have always wilted when they faced Calzaghe.

jones is the only guy on that record that could beat joe.

Never understood why anyone thinks Glen Johnson could beat Joe, he's solid B+ class at best

Look at some of the dross he's lost to. Not a chance in hell

I say he loses to RJJ, no question, at that point RJJ was just unstoppable, style wise he loses to JT twice, ( we may see this in the future) and he would have lost to Tito..so 4 losses...

Just because Hopkins started later, it doesn't mean age is not a factor. Just because fighters age differently doesn't mean age is not a factor.

The only comparison that can be done is to look at how Hopkins would have done fighting Calzaghe's record, not the other way around. Because you can imagine how a young, inexperienced Hopkins would do against Eubanks and Reid and a still prime but older Hopkins would have done against Kessler, but you cannot imaging how a 42 year-old Calzaghe would be like against Taylor and Tarver, because we haven't seen a 40+ Calzaghe.

losses against Jones, Tarver, Winky and Tito. Probably against Taylor too. I think he'd beat DLH though.

Manipulating the scorecards? What the **** are you smoking?

Joe has never had a gift decision in his career. We are not talking about Sven Ottke
