you gotta view their opponents' strengths and weaknesses and make an assessment based on credence, not favortism

And please forget abuot Kessler being one dimensional. He only had a plan A against Calzaghe but his corner and trainer is to blame for that imho.

Any version of Calzaghe loses to a prime Hopkins.

I really do - and my best bet is that Kessler posess' all the goods to beat Glenn, Taylor, Hopkins etc. RJJ and Calzaghe are the only ones to beat him.

Kessler is severely underrated and he aint ****in active enough because of bad management. Lets see him with DLH or Frank Warren!

My biggest problem with Joe is he dont bring his best every fight, with that being said Its really hard to think that he would have come though Hopkins resume with less then 4 loses. Jones is a given, I dont think that many would argue that one. Wright would have been the second toughest one for Joe to win. Several other would have been toss ups..DLH, Tarver, Lipsey, Johnson, Mercado. I dont really think that Joe would win all those fights, he would lose at least one there. Others were Joe would have been a slight favorite would have been Taylor, Eastman, Holmes and Echols. Joe would have lost one of those. So now were up to three loses.

Fights were Joe would have been a heavy favorite...But are very dangerous fights would have been vs Vanderpool, Tito, Allen, and Joppy. He should have won all those fights but this is boxing and he would have likely lost one of those.

On the flip side I think that only a Prime Eubank would have given Hopkins much trouble on Joes resume, and maybe Kessler. But Joe didnt fight a prime Eubank so that really dont matter, cuz a prime Eubank would likely have beatten Joe.

I would bet my house that you never even seen Lipsey fight. His handspeed was unreal and he had big time power. He fought just about the same way as Joe but with alittle more speed and alot more power. Mercado was a bigger version of Tito. The way that he threw his punches would have given the wide swinging Calzaghe fits. Just think of Tito but taller and stronger. Mercado did have a questionable chin so if I were picking that fight as a one time fight I would pick Joe, but its a package. And would so many people dont understand is that so many of these guys that Hopkins fought you had to be you best or you wouldnt win. And as I said Joe dont always show up with his best tools in the bag.

Its pretty ridiculous for anyone to suggest that he would have any more than one loss, to Jones.

Why?? Explain. I think that its ridiculous to say that he could fight Oscar, Tito, Joppy, Holmes, Tarver, Wright, Jones, Taylor, Lipsey, Mercado, johnson, Eastman, Vanderpool, Echols, Daniels, Allen and Jackson without losing more then 1 fight. everyone of those guys are at least as good as everyone that Joe has fought and in most cases better then everyone that Joe has fought. I would even say that only a PRIME Eubank and maybe Kessler would be in that class of fighters.

all wins but cant decide on rjj because it's one of them fights you would have to be fought to know the outcome.

Exactly. For most of his career he was fighting guys brought in by Frank Warren because they had no chance of winning. Hopkins was often put in with decent fighters who were supposed to beat him.
