Uh, no. Jones couldn't stop chumps that weren't even half what Joe was. The only people who Jones ever fought that were as good as Joe were Hopkins and Toney, and Joe had the worst style for him out of those 3

By the way, if you need a reminder, RJJ of 5 years ago got KTFO by Tarver and Johnson, neither of whom are even close to Joe

 

Jones would have been out of the game a lot sooner if he fought Clazaghe. No way at any point in his career would the glassed jawed Jones have beat the Welshman.

If Roy took Joe down in the first round at age 40. At age 30 or 33 Jones KO's Joe in one.

 

Cal would have been beat-up. He didn't have the power to hurt RJJ's apparant "glass jaw" at that point, and Jones wouldn't have been worried about that either. RJJ would have won a UD, and 8 years or so ago, he would have KO'd him.
