if calzaghe has one fight left, who does ESB vote it should be against?

Dawson. The opponent won't harm the money too much. Few know who are good fighters anymore. Tell most brits that he's fighting the best other lhw in the world and that'll be enough - coupled with it being Calzaghe's last fight - to fill the millennium stadium and sign a massive contract with sky or setanta. I think americans would buy enough ppv now Calzaghe is a name.
If he fights anyone else (he's clearly not going to fight hopkins) people would also say he avoided the best left. either retire or fill his boots and reputation vs dawson.
however, I think there's a wild card. if franci beats Erdei, i think he might fight him. there's bad blood between the two, calzaghe would be a ludicrously heavy favourite and he gets a belt to boot. don't rule out that one.

I think most have Calzaghe winning.

The truth is, Hopkins shouldn't have made such a meal out of those low blows as I think it swung the very end of the fight to JC in the udges eyes. Pavlik was a redemption performance for that, imo.

Yep. Win or lose, if he fought any of those guys, he would shut people that talk about "ducking" up.

Plus, we would get mad respect. Again, win or lose.

If Hopkins was younger it would def be Hopkins but he perhaps just doesn't have the stamina now.

I'm suprised nobody else suggested that. That sounds like a good retirement fight especially for the British fans. I don't know that many American fans would appreciate it but it would be a good way to show the changing of the guard for the Brits around that weight class.

Dawson or Johnson wouldn't be bad fights either. I know Johnson would fight him anywhere Joe wanted.

i think the fight with Johnson would be much more entertaining and would look much better on his fight resume. Johnson had a controversial fight with Dawson and has already beaten both Tarver and Jones.

Calzaghe wins via split controversial decision in Wales!!

Funny so many are voting for Hopkins. Before AND after fighting him before Joe was roundly critisised for fighting an old man. Now with him a year older its somehow okay?

Not to mention Hopkins already had his chance and all he did was headbutt, hold and fake low blows when he had his chance to beat Joe. I'd rather Tocker Pudwill got another go. At least he came to fight.

    He'll fight Dawson.

He will not fight Hopkins again and Johnson is too much of a risk with no reward.

I'd like to see him face Dawson, although B-hop would be a fine replacement.

Anyone but Hopkins. I want that loss unavenged, forever.

Johnson...fight all the OG's. OG's: Jones, Hopkins, etc. If Joe really wants to aim for legacy, then Glen or Dawson.

    Kessler's the most deserving.

Dawson would cruelly be exposed and it would do more harm than good to his legacy... may as well fight Lacy again

Besides, Dawson has a lot of unfinished business with Glen, who to me was on the wrong end of the decision.
