JOE CALZAGHE DID CALL OUT ROY JONES JR IN OCTOBER 2001 (cant remember the guy he ko`d that night) IT WAS ON THE UNDERCARD OF TYSON VS BRIAN NEILSEN & THE FIGHT WAS IN DENMARK. Joe mentioned jones name several times in his career as he always thought he had the tools to do the job but Ive only mentioned the above time as the other times are not exact in my head yet & may very well have been interviews as opposed to post fight interviews. You can pick holes in most fighters who ever lived record as nobody is perfect but the reality for the americans is that calzaghe is unbeaten, has had 21 or so defences, is at least in the top 3 168 lbers ever, is likely the current p4p no2 & produced atg performances vs his 2 biggest threats, lacy & kessler... 2 guys who most USAbians picked over him. Easy to say they are overrated AFTER joe hands them their ass. I didnt hear that talk before the fights. On hopkins.... bernie has never beat anyone that calzaghe wouldnt have beat, Id fancy kessler over hopkins at this stage & Id fancy calzaghe over hopkins at ANY stage.
