    Holyfield wasn't even close to being the best in the division when he fought Valuev. Lewis deserves credit for beating Holyfield they were the two best Heavies at the time. If Holy was so old and faded why was he even a champion?

    Hopkins was not only the champion he was the Ring Champion and Calzaghe went up in weight to beat the best guy in the division after cleaning out 168.

    Jcal was calling them out when he was fighting scrubs with losing records... or NEARLY losing records anyways! It's not like he beat 160 james toney and then said Jones and Hopkins are my next opponents.

    In fact!! The year that Jones beat Toney- Calzaghe fought some guy who was 14w-28L. So to say that Jcal fought a prime or even GAME Jones or Hop is outrageous to me!

    I'd go so far as to say that I don't value his win over Eubank as Joe beating a prime fighter THERE either!

    He has wins over legendary fighters in the twilight of their careers.

    if Calzaghe was No 1 id need my memory erased or the hundereds ahead of him all are scandalised with drugs or something.
