i imagine this will be for joe's 168 titles. he'll go nowhere near 160 and i doubt pavlik and his people would be keen on jumping two weight classes.

soooo providing it gets the go ahead, is it time again for one of america's big stars to do the travelling? or should joe be the one crossing the pond like last time?

can't that arguement be easily switched around though? why doesn't pavlik have to prove he can fight outside his home country?

Id like a trip to Madison Square Gardens, but in theory surely 70,000 in Wales would make more sense ?

Are you seriously questioning Americans of double standards? lol Seriously though, if Joe wants to cement his legacy, beating Pavlik in the US would go a long way.

Don't be ridiculous. Americans have no need to prove themselves.

Just because all British or European fighters get the reverse is immaterial.

To suggest so is suggesting that America isn't the most perfect nation on earth.

    UK.

They would get the American TV audience and the big live crowd anywhere in Britain for Calzaghe.

They are also his titles. Pavlik seems the type of guy who wouldn't mind coming over to try and take them.

    UK.

Calzaghe is the undisputed champion at 168 the challenger should travel to meet the champion.

Plus they would sell at least 50,000 tickets in Wales.

but pavliks career has just really started where as he still has loads of time to go places and travel, where calzaghe has always said he was the best in the world with only having a certain number fights outside of the british isle, 3 out of 45 fights his career is winding down! pavlik is still rising

uhhhh let's try and keep this civil and stay away from the whole my dad's bigger than yours mentality.

whilst beating pavlik in the US would do slightly more for his legacy i'm pretty selfish and want to see him fight live once more.

Cardiff, so I can see it

Doesn't really matter though. Calzaghe doesn't need to travel to secure his legacy, no-one questions Roy Jones legacy despite him never fighting outside the US and Calzaghe has fought more opponents in front of their home crowds or crowds that were hostile to him than most top fighters, especially in his early career.

    that is no certainty.

non american fighters will always have the chance should they climb the rankings high enough to go challenge a world class champion in the states and prove themselves outside their own comfort zone.

the chance for an american to leave his own backyard and further prove himself outside of his country against a foreign superstar who can bring in the dough occurs a lot less.

    what about bradley last weekend

to many fighters have to go to britian from europe, America and Britian are quite alike in that way

Bernard hopkins is way past his best when he fought calzaghe in america , if he fought pavlik in america then it would be a much better fight and do loads for his legacy
