Pascal will beat Braehmer to get his hands on the WBO belt.

Kessler will beat Mundine for the WBA belt.

Froch will be forced to take on Inkin for the WBC belt. (Froch always said he would beat Inkin). Inkin will beat him.

Bute will defend his IBF belt against Sanavia and Andrade and then Tsypko.

Miranda beaten by Pascal in their next fight...Lacy...ehmm...cannot see Lacy competing for top honours any more, much as I would want to...going up to LHW?

 

Kessler will not clean up because no one of the ones who might get their hands on a belt or have one already will fight him...i.e. Inkin/Froch, Pascal/Braehmer, Bute...

...Let us hope that Mundine is not all talk and he WILL fight Kessler...

...Bute looks like he will be the first to take on Kessler, but only when he is ready - i.e. when he thinks he can beat him.

If Mundine ducks Kessler, Kessler will have no belts and will have no chance of making any big fights, even though he is, and will be - at least in 2008 - second only to Calzaghe in the division...

My only hope for Mikkel, other than Mundine, are Bika and Lacy - as an outside chance - but neither of these two will help him get closer to a title fight...I don't think Mikkel will pick up a belt in 2008, although I am sure he will in 2009 - perhaps more than one!:good

In 6-12 months...

Four different holders ... Bute, Kessler and two more (proberbly fighting out of Germany)... it will be awhile before anyone united the belts again. And my guess is that Kessler will be the one to do it.

As for Kessler-Bute - don't think we'll see that one anytime soon - Kessler isn't IBF-ranked (yet) and he is a risk/reward nightmare without those two belts he had.

Kessler will proberbly be ranked WBA #1 next time around and hopefully be made mandatory for Mundine - a good fight.

As for Bute - I think he needs more rutine before facing Kessler - and with Kessler striped of his belts, it doesn't make much sence atm - and I don't know the economy in canadian boxing - how much would Bute be able to offer to get the fight to Canada?
