b ut at both us fights he has failed to sell out both msg and the thomas and mack centre ,now if both fights had been in wales,mor so the millenium stadium he would have sold both out.probelry between 60000-50000 seats.

it makes financial sense to stage his next fight over here,hes built up the demand for it.

i love this fight and it would be a huge boost to joe's career if he pulled out the win but it would be utter insanity to stage it in the states.

Yeah the american fight game is at a low just now.
You know what **** I am getting sick of?
The amount of american fight fans not turning up to events. The distance to travel is often used as an excuse not to follow a fighter.
i.e. Kelly Pavlik has the youngstoun crowd following him great support etc but he struggles to fill 15-20k stadia where are the other american fight fans?
Its expensive in gas and a lot of travelling to follow fighters is something that is constantly used. Surely an internal flight in the states is not that expensive.
The Jones Calzaghe fight was getting a panning for the expected low turn out figures of 6-10k were quoted as being an attendence. They got around 14k 6-8 thousand from Wales/UK and this when we are in tough economic times.

A bloody good show from the UK fans. Can you see 6-8k americans turning up to Dawson vs Calzaghe at the Millenium? No never ever. It wouldnt matter as the brits would sell it out in no time.

If America demands you must fight in the 'mecca' of boxing the least they could do was show up.
