Calzaghe will never fight Hopkins again. He got lucky when he met a sub par Nard who was not 100% in their fight . A fit in shape focussed Nard takes Calzaghe's 0 giving him a good ass whuppin. Joe knows this himself thats why he retired

i am not the biggest calzaghe fan but i think he beat hopkins it is just a pity he did not have the desire in him to fight hopkins and jones five years earlier. and i think hopkins and calzaghe both peformed below there best when they fought

He is an ATG but at his age I doubt Calzaghe could last the tournament. Maybe he would fight the winner but he'd be 40 then and out the ring for over 3 years, so I doubt we'll see that.

That's right. Why would Hopkins bother to come into a fight against the undefeated, undisputed Super-Middleweight Champion of the World who throws punches quicker than the pistons on a formula one car, in peak condition and focussed? I mean it's not like his reputation was on the line. It's not as if he made derogatory comments about Calzaghe such as "I'd never let a white boy beat me" that he had to back up is it?

I suspect Hopkins stepped into the fight against Calzaghe without a care in the world having just returned from a six month vacation in the Carribean. Boy, he must have been surpised when he lost!
