How much respect would he have. I think he'd be the biggest star worldwide in boxing from looking at the way Americans hyped Pavlik and even guys like Devon Alexander who's got it all to prove. I can remember when Calzaghe fought Lacy, all the American's on a different forum where claiming the white boy would be blown away, but when he beats him it doesn't count as a big win because Lacy was over rated and didn't count as being a top American. Before Pavlik lost to Hopkins 99% of Americans were saying he'd knock out Calzaghe and if he fought him they'd say the same as they did about Lacy.

Come on, he's beat many of America's elite. Hopkins, Lacy (who was elite at that time). He beat Kessler who just beat Froch.

Oh, thank Valuev. I was worried there wouldn't be one of these for twenty-four whole hours. There wouldn't have been if my prayers to SNV hadn't been answered. Valuevian Lilacs and NiKO's love to you, brother Bad Dog.

Obviously this works two ways. If Calzaghe was American, I doubt he'd have spent 10 years in the UK defending a paper title in a poor division..

If Calzaghe was american he would be top 10 ATG no questions!! since he isnt american he is a slapper, ducker, coward.

when he gave lacy a boxing lesson lacy was over rated and only had a left hook but pre fight he was a huge favourite.

Then he beat Kessler yes it was close but he won by atleast 2 rounds...again kessler was over rated.

Then he beat Hopkins when hopkins i believe at the time was top 5 PFP.....again hopkins was slow, old and shot!!!

so calzaghe is shite but fighters like dirrell and ward are the future!! LOL

If he was american, all the euros would be calling him an overrated slapper who mostly fought a bunch of bums and past it greats, and beat 2 good but not great opponents...you know, the facts. :yep

Paper title? WBO? Does that mean Pacquiao is a paper champion too?

If he was American he would have fought Bhop, RJJ, and Toney in their primes and possibly lost to all three!

Two of them are proven cheaters so yes he probably would have lost to them at that point but i'm sure he'd beat Hopkins at anytime in his career.
