Just read an article on the front page reporting an Enzo Calzaghe interview and with the way he stumbles over his words he's quoted as saying Joe walks round at 40 stone.:rofl :rofl
Didn't Hopkins pull out of the Calzaghe negotiations in 2002? Given that the DLH fight was in '04, that would have given him plenty of time to come back down for DLH.
I've given up pointing out that fact to the ill-informed who constanly bring up Toney's name. And also that BHop backed out of a Calzaghe fight (greed, not fear) about six years ago.
If Calzaghe was American then we'd all be on here discussing why Robin Reid is the greatest supermiddle of all time and not an overated eurobum!!
you talkin about ref quality or judges quality why he aint gettin robbed or b/c he would of never survived cause he cant box even the us ***git boxers would take care of him, even lacy got robbed and all the other ****ers got robbed too, his first 9 fights he does 11 rounds cause the opponants was ***gots and got robbed. **** having to fight 3 judges a ref and a ****** wha chance he got.
Nope, thre haters would still not give Joe credit= instead, they would call RJJ in prime, AND Toney...... " Over fkin rated...hyped " :verysad
Cory Spinks is American, is very good, and is hated by most American boxing fans, and he arguably has a better record than Calzaghe's.
So the answer to the original question is Yes, Calzaghe would still be called Calfaggi, and Calslappy, America has a **** load of talented fighters, we don't over protect and love one just because he is American! Look at Floyd Mayweather.
