I dont rate Adamek that highly. Just another Eurobum who got exposed by an American. What I am saying is i put Adamek on the same level of win as Kessler. Not only that, but atleast Adamek was the bigger man, thus his journey to Cruiser. Arguably Robin Reid and Bernard Hopkins beat Slappy Joe. Whats your point? I rate the win over Tarver higher then Calzaghes win over Roy Jones. Tarver has beat old Roy twice, and he was just coming off a dominant performance over Clinton Woods and Dawson destroyed him. So again, whats your beef Hugh? Thats the point. Dawson is only 26 and his resume is already just as good as Slappy Joes. If he was 37 and about to retire, I would criticize him, but considering he's in the dawn of his career and already faced the opposition he has, he gets props. Now if he were British he would still be in hobbitville fighting local bums, and waiting for all these guys to die, so he could dig up there bodies, defeat them, and name himself the Legend Killer lol. Strenuously? I said Im not gay. But maybe you were hoping I was given how fixated you are on the subject. And they way you talk of the fighting pride of Wales, it seems you have some fantasies of your own you are telling us mary poppins. :hey
You won hear that phrase. Mexicans dont fight nor do they pursue their career like bitches. This is a European development, entirely new to the sport of boxing that a fighter fights a decade in his home country not fighting top opposition and expects recognition. I dont like Margarito, but say what you want about the guy, he's been fighting tough matchups his whole career. He doesnt fight 40 year olds, he fights the best thats put in front of him. He doesnt need no excuses, no contract negotiations, no complaints about where he's fighting. He just does. Thats why Americans respect him.
Again, this will be the second time i've asked you, who did Calzaghe duck at 168? Who has a better resume at 168 than joe? Please respond if you can, moron!!
168 is merely a stepping stone. The best of this generation, Jones, Toney, Hopkins, either leaped directly over it or only spent a nominal amount of time there. Who Joe didnt fight at 168 is stupid, its who was in and around his weight class that he didnt fight. Hopkins, Johnson, Tarver, Jones, Toney have been in and around 168 their whole careers, Joe never fought them. Infact he dropped out of a fight with Johnson 3 times. Dont try and use the wieght class as an excuse for his cherry picking. He could have fought anyone of them at any time.
you mean the Glen Johnson with a record of 48-12...the same guy who lost to "protected" fighters Clinton Woods and Sven Ottke? He just beat the two greatest American fighters of the past decade in Jones and hopkins. Again, who would you like to see him fight? i think Manny Steward said it best, "Joe Calzaghe would have been a tough fight for Jones at anytime in his career"...I think I'll take his word over a know-nothing moron's word any day of the week.
Steward could be the dumbest **** on the HBO crew. The ****in ******* every fight says "This is exactly how I pictured this fight going" Even tho he clearly predicted something completely different at the beginning of the broadcast. Oh and if he knows so much then why did he not correvt Lampley or Kellermen when they said Calzaghe was down vs Eubank??:think
Unbelievable...dude, Manny Steward has forgotten more about boxing than you will ever learn in your lifetime!! There's a reason why he's training Wlad right now and you are on the ESB forums, dumbass!! You sound more ignorant than Danny Rand!!
I never said all European fighters were afraid of a challenge, its just its a recent European development. For instance, Arthur Abraham and Felix Sturm, to warriors who'll fight anyone. But Joe apparently didnt want any part of him. Read what Frank Warren has to say about joe's career and how he carried him. Out of their primes you dumbass! Jesus. Thats the whole point moron. Jones and Hopkins arent at their best. They are faded in Hopkins case and totally shot and damaged goods in Jones case. Chad Dawson. The first time in his career he's fought a fighter with larger height, longer reach, comparable strength, speed and who is young at the same time. Challenge Dawson and Joe gets no ill words from me, continue on this path of fighting hasbeens and old timers, and he'll remain slappy joe, and his fans, delusional nuthuggers. Argumentum ad verecundiam Joe never fought Jones in his prime. so we'll never know.
Whatever you say buddy. Don't pay attention to all the ******ed things that he says **** he trains people he must know EVERYTHING about boxing. P.S- He is an highly overrated trainer to. What did he teach Wlad how to do??? Hold? Great job Manny. John Ruiz is gonna have a big future as a trainer.
It's amazing how Dawson can gain your respect from fighting Tarver at 39, but Calzaghe can't gain your respect for fighting Jones at the same age. Oh, and I guess someone forgot to tell Hopkins that he was not in his prime when he fought Pavlik!! Oh and by the way, Calzaghe is almost 37...why is he considered to be in his prime and not Jones? Dude, just admit...you just don't like the guy...everyone can see it. You can't think of anyone besides Dawson that you would like to see him fight. You're pissed that no one has been able to prove your theory of joe Calzaghe as a cherry picking Euro bum. Joe has beaten everyone he's faced!! Calzaghe has not lost a fight, this is what is really killing you!!
You're right **** me what do I know I don't train anyone I must not know a ****in thing about the sport.
Lol. Because these arent going to be the defining wins of Dawsons career. he'll fight many more tougher, more prestiges fights. These were just a jumping off point, excellent wins for a young warrior. Calzaghe is basing his entire career of wins over faded champions and unproven fighters. Thats the difference. These are the defining wins of Joes career. He's 37. Thats sad. Styles make fights. Jermaine Taylor beat Hopkins twice. Hopkins struggles with fighters with high outputs. He doesnt get beaten he just gets outlanded. I can think of some fighters I'd like to see Calzaghe fight besides Dawson. A prime Roy jones, a prime Hopkins and a prime Toney lol. Oops, never gonna happen. I dont hate the guy, his fans are really annoying because of their huggery, but why would I hate Calzaghe. If he can get his delusional fans to love him for fighting old timers, he's a great hustler lol. Im just not fooled.
**** america....joe wouldnt of even gone there if lacy hadnt come over thinking he could steal his belt. he is the greatest like it or lump it . americans are the most unsporting nation in the world.
