You know, despite this guy being an absolute idiot, I agree with him

Calzaghe stole a decision from B-Hop.... through out working him, making him timid, hitting him more and making it hard for rounds to go against him through sheer workrate versus what B-Hop was doing.

B-Hop hit him cleaner, effectively defended the majority of his shots and seemed to have him well under control, but he just didn't work enough.

Calzaghe stole the fight, the right decision was reached.

Calzaghe's not coming back and it would be a mistake for him to do so. Given his admitted descent into drug use during his retirement - there is no way he can regain his top form.

Calzaghe beats Hopkins 10 out of 10 any decade.

he could do ok for a little while, but his dominance would be a little less due to age and inactivity. he would never be the fighter he was before. he would still beat Hopkins easily after a few tuneups, and probably edge Froch.

:roll:Some of these deluded comments are beyond belief. Make no mistake, Zaggers would demolish all and sundry with consumate ease. The erstwhile champion would employ his salient boxing skills to detonate nose-busting jabs, jaw-dropping super flurries, and gazelle-esque footwork, to confound, demoralise and ultimately Lacy his opponents into bloody submission.

Ward would find a bed in the hospital ward.

Dirrell would have his Glass Jaw exposed permanently.:!:

Froch would wish he never had the petulance to call out Calzaghe, and would quit on his stool by the 7th round and offer a full-page, printed apology in all the broadsheets.:deal

Bute would be exposed as the poor man's Calzaghe he so patently is. :dead

    Refute.

If he comes back, I'd most like to see him fight Ward, because that's the kind of opponent Joe never faced in his career - a prime world-class fighter who can match him for speed and fitness, but has the clear edge over him in terms of skills and technique. This would give us an indication of how Calzaghe would've fared if he'd ever have fought technicians like Hopkins and Jones when they were in their primes in the late 90s/early 00s.
