jones was just mesmerizing when he fought. its a shame the true 'standard bearer' for boxing has to be a heavyweight - because it's really only the HW champ that joe public knows, which means unless a guy like delahoya comes along then boxing doesn't get too many nights at the forefront of mainstream sports.

that's how guys like jones fall under the radar in PPV. but if the man had been a HW......

People don't need to give Calzaghe his credit, they need to give Tyson his credit. He was a master of the style Eddie Futch and Cus tailored. Like Joe Frazier before him, Tyson was more than just awesome power and an iron chin, he was everything that separates streetfighting from boxing, everything skillful and sweet. Mike Tyson is boxing.

Besides Roy used less skill sets than Mike. Roy's arsenal in my eyes relied more on power, than did Tyson's.

but you can only defend them on forums by putting your opinions on the line.

if you never do that - and i haven't seen you get into constructive debate once - then it means you're afraid to step out of that 'bubble' that lets you put your heroes on a bigger stage to begin with.

when you can step out of that bubble, you'll be a much more confident poster whether you win or lose the debates you take on.

your heroes are not, and will never be a part of who you are. and that 'pang' of pride that makes you defend them in the first place even though you're not sure how too is a common one if you take offence against your country when people do that.

once you can seperate the two and talk about it openly you'll see it was not a big deal to begin with.
