    The Kovalev who just beat Alverez would beat Canelo , probably by stoppage. He may be on the slide , but he isn't that far past it where he could be beaten by a feather dusting midget two divisions bellow him.
    Guys who are past it don't have the type of workrate and movement Kovalev had against Alverez

    But that won't stop Canelo's haters from arguing that Kovalev was past it in the event that Canelo beats him, much in the same way that GGG fans say that GGG became past his prime the moment Canelo GGG 1 was signed lol. Canelo haters always need to have pre-made excuses ready in the event that Canelo does something impressive.

    Just a week ago his haters were saying Canelo would never fight Kovalev. As soon as Kovalev's team confirmed an offer they immediately switched to Kovalev is old and Canelo should not get credit.

    Manny didn`t fight as well as GGG did v Canelo when he lost to Horn, he made far more mistakes that got punished.
