If Canelo beats Khan then DRops MW belt, GGG out in cold

    Even if Golovkin gets Canelo's belt by Canelo vacating the MW title, or by defeating Canelo what is there left for Golovkin in the mW division?

    He'd be Shet out of luck to make any meaningful defences worth any real money and would have to move up to achieve any semblance of greatness.

    History will see Golovkin as a MW who unified in the MW division's weakest era, by defeating a string of bums and a B+ level SWW. That is far from being an ATG like Hopkins.
    I doubt if Golovkin will abandon the MW division after he unifies and all that will be left is for him to defend against mediocre competition. Who would want to spend dollars to see that? :smoke

    Everyone always overstates how much money Canelo brings GGG.

    Canelo as the b-side made 5m against Cotto in what was a bigger fight than Canelo - GGG would be. As the A-side against Lemieux GGG made 2m and is making 1.5m against a nobody in Wade.

    Golovkin being the A-side against Saunders would bring around the same money as being the B-side against Canelo.

    There is really no big money fight to be made a MW. The division is devoid of stars and A grade talent.
    Canelo is a SWW and only at best a B grade calibre fighter.
    There is nothing for Little g at MW. All he aspires to do is unify and defend to beat BHOP's MW defence record. Then he would be 38-40 and retire.
    Golovkin is not destined for greatness.

    Those so called fast selling tickets are more than available on ticket sites like ticketmaster.com and they are getting "CHEAPER" as the fight gets closer. I'm thinking about selling mine and going to Canelo vs Khan.
    Honestly this Wade fight is bull**** and he should have let Lemuiex stock go up with a few wins. Without Canelo, Golovkin has no one to get casuals in to his brand with. He needs to stalk Mayweather and set up a "exhibition" for a payday it's over.:|

    If he has another 4-5 years, and 15 successful MW defences to go with those years, he'd be up there with Monzon, Hagler and co, maybe rated even higher. I'd say that's anything but laughable.
