If Canelo beats Makabu how will you rank him?

No definitely not ...oh "Ranking him"....

 

He's tough to rank...since he's not human anymore.OK I KID.seriously i still find it difficult because i don't know who he will fight after Makabu.

This win doesn't do it for me in terms of numbers quoted.

I'd say he's still clearly below Jones Jr and Toney who have done similar but against a better class of opposition.

Jones beat Ruiz which is obviously better than Makabu and Toney beat Jirov which is obviously better.

Beyond that, as good a victory as it will be, he won't be the best CW or LHW after this fight, should he win. He'll still be the best SMW though.

Throw in Beterbiev and Breidis, just to get those number 1 in the division crowns, and I'd say he's above Toney and Hearns at that point.

Not sure about Jones Jr though.

 

If Bellew can beat Makabu then im pretty sure the top light heavyweights could .. I'd even give an old Pascal a shot to beat him
