If Canelo completely destroys Trout, will we ever see Canelo-Floyd?

Kirkland was recovering from shoulder surgery that was months away from healing when the fight was being negotiated. At best, Canelo's team was trying to fight a 1 armed guy, at worst they were bluffing.

Williams was past it having been KO'd by Martinez and clearly outboxed by Lara. A win over fringe journeyman Ishida changes nothing. He was done. Another older guy.

Ortiz had been KO'd in the fight before Lopez, and had never fought at 154. A win over HOEsisito Lopez changes that and makes him a viable opponent?

He didn't take what was there. He fought a guy who had been fighting 10 rounders at 140 just the year before.

Why is Floyd vs Canelo a good fight? I really want to know from a Canelo fan's perspective. Because I see a guy who has been fighting old small guys. Not even stopping most of them and being protected(which is ok), but he's clearly not an elite fighter. Why is it a good fight?

    Shut up.

It's the next big money fight for Floyd after the Pac fight.

Floyd vs Canelo is a better fight because Canelo is a better challenge than Ortiz, Guerrero, Mosley and Cotto.

How is he a better challenge? Really. Not trying to troll, but honestly, what does Canelo do that provides a challenge?

He's one of the most lucrative opponents out there for him.

I favored Mayweather against Canelo for a long time, but Canelo beating Trout dominantly would mean a few things. One is that Canelo can cut off a ring better than Cotto can at this stage, and if he can corner Trout, he can corner Mayweather. Another is that if he can put punches together enough to badly beat down or KO Trout, then he can seriously hurt Mayweather against the ropes if he catches him flush. Initially I thought Floyd would box circles around Canelo and the speed would just intimidate his young unexperienced ass, but this fight could change that.

Mayweather is always looking for the best opponent, Cotto was it he beats him, Trout beats him aswell, only makes sense to make the Trout fight

This fight will completely change the Boxing landscape as we know whatever happens... It will alter boxing in unimaginable ways.

    This is a super fight!

Trout and Canelo are the best at 154... tomorrow we find out who's on another level, or if they both are just as good as each other.

IF Canelo were to destroy Trout, no, we would never see a fight with Mayweather.

    Safety first.

    Floyd doesn't belong at 154.

Floyd chooses you; you don't choose him.

Canelo brings nothing to the table.

    Take the test.

Fighters in the past made mistakes by taking the fights fans wanted to see.

    Who's Canelo?

No one tells Floyd what to do.
