If Canelo defeats Golovkin will he defend against actual middleweights?

I can see Golovkin either riding off into retirement if he wins or loses. If not I believe he will fight who ever he can fight and collect a few paydays. The big question will be would Saul Alvarez fight the Danny Jacobs and Billy Joe Saunders of the world?
Canelo has a nice resume and this is a big step he has taken twice but will he continue to fight real 160 guys or will he pick and choose from 147-160 who he will and will not fight?
I'm hoping Canelo gains whatever confidence he needs from this fight and runs the gauntlet of 160 as one of the biggest names in boxing.

I think he will. He's proven that he can hang with the best at 160 and that he can take the incoming. He may well still pick out cherries but he'll probably also mix in a few genuine defences as well.

No, he’ll cherrypick from the lower weight divisions like his mentor Floyd.

If anyone has shown they are willing to take on the tough fights... its Canelo. (Lara Trout May Golovkinx2) He just does it while feasting on relative no hopers in between. Im sure if he beats G... that wont change. (Taking on top competition and also being fed showcase fights)

Canelo vs Saunders, Charlo and Jacobs... are some awesome fights.

    Pretty much this...

I don't think after Golovkin twice in a row we should expect defense #1 right outta the gate to be anybody top shelf.

BJS and Jacobs (and Derevyanchenko, Murata, etc) will all still be there in early 2019.

Unless your name is Mayweather everybody takes gimmie fights to his credit since he hit the big leagues in 2013 he's been consistant with having a free showcase fight vs decent mid teir opponents and world class fight vs names and or Champions.
If he fights Saunders this year that would be 3 maybe 4 back to back fights vs top class or highly thought of guys (depending on how you rate the Chavez win at SMW). I get it when your the biggest name you have the most haters but its 2018 its time to put respect on Canelos name EVERY fighter they said he wouldn't fight he has and has fought on even terms with them all. I know it would be better if he won by whipout but as GGG has shown you in his recent fights when he finally stepped up a level it ain't easy in the big leagues it's not many fighters who have fought on even terms let alone beat guys like Trout,Lara,Mayweather,Cotto, or GGG. Cotto and Trout have the most losses individually but thoses guys have fought EVERYBODY there division has to offer and really only looked bad in defeat once or twice. Mayweather and GGG were unbeaten and Lara was arguably unbeaten only loss a real robbery vs Williams y'all need to stop hating and enjoy the show

Think Charlo gives him trouble too underrated, think BJS would be easiest for him out of Jacobs Charlo and him

F Warren recently said that Canelo doesn't want the BJS fight, but GGG does.

You have literally described almost every fighter that sits in the HOF. (tough fights, with no hopers in between)

BJS is everyones worst nightmare at the moment. He wont look devastating against any of them, but that style is kryptonite against anyone currently in the mix at 160. UD BJS v all of them..The only fighter at 160 GGG needs to swerve imo
