Canelo vs Lemieux would be an OK fight. Not for the WBC belt of course

Lee made 154 a few fights ago and stopped his opponent.

First and foremost he should give up the MW belt. He said himself his body isn't ready for the weight.

There's no integrity let in the sport if he chooses to keep it. Cotto started this whole chit show:twisted:

Best think for baxin now is that there is a very clear decisive win in the Cotto-Canelo fight and that Floyd stays retired. In the long term I think it is the best thing for Floyd too before you call me a hater. That means that the winner of that fight will get on with Golovkin somewhere in 2017 and we will have a clear star and face of the sport. I'm a big fan of Cotto but in the big picture I think that it will be best for boxing if Canelo retires him for good.

    This isn't that era.

Sanctioning bodies have made themselves practically irrelevant, by their sheer number and utterly silly rankings.

Imagine if their was 4 different FIFAs and some had Burkina Faso un the top 10, and some wouldn't rank Germany because they held the title of the other bodies.

    That's what sanctioning bodies are.

They're probably the #1 problem with boxing

true, this is something that's pulling boxing down, the WBA are ridiculous in that aspect, but every title = more sanctioning fees in their pocket, and they won't cut off a river of money flowing into their bank account from sanctioning the WBA Super Regular Championships in 17 different weight divisions

    I agree.
Ive talked with K2 in the past and they've said "any means necessary" in regards to Cotto or Mayweather so IMO, they would make similar concessions for Canelo:good

    And rest assured......

Once he drops Canelo 2-3X en route to a UD win, they're be no MORE concessions from K2 as to A/B side:nono

You guys are so dumb - he has lots of good fights to make..

Cotto 2, Margarito, lemieux, Andrade.... even bundrage, molina, or victor ortiz are passable stay busy fights

And of course Floyd is looking for his 50th fight. The lineal MW belt at 154.5 (disgusting i know) will be huge money against canelo. My money is on this one...followed by Margarito.

If GGG can make a name for himself devouring hopeless opponents, then Alvarez can do the same and make some much deserved money in the process. At least he's far more accomplished to take that route, unlike GGG who's biggest win is Rubio.

Ya....but canelo will have fought floyd, cotto and a few other pretty good fighters.....kind of hard to go backwards....that's the beauty in ggg's plan.....going backwards isn't possible .....and if he fights a b level fighter it's a step up
