Sho would say no so it aint a duck bro. Like I said I would and 99% of poster would probably love this fight but Lara aint bring nothing to the table so fighting someone else for more makes not only business sense but common sense. It aint a duck . . . these guys fight for a living.

Mosley-Mayweather was a mega fight though. And when he called him out he created some drama. Some publicity. Lara didn't. I'm sure lots of people didn't even know Lara called him out. I just seriously doubt Canelo's team recommends Lara next. I hope they do fight, but I seriously doubt it and I can't really blame Alvarez for it.

I do understand that. Thats why if Golden Boy is smart a fight with lara in Miami or somewhere in Florida will do ALOT more Bussiness then anything Molina can bring to the table. Plus Canelo-Molina is not a PPV fight, Lara is and everybody knows it

Yes Mosley-Mayweather was a mega fight but when Mosley did that mayweather has no choice but to fight. Most causals will give Canelo a pass for not fighting Lara but alot of boxing fans (and people that hate Canelo because he lost to Mayweather, which is stuip) will start girlling Canelo big time. I mean lara is showing up at your fights, everybody said Canelo should've fought him 2 years ago and now the fight makes sense and it doesnt happen?

All i know is i'll call it a duck and im a big Canelo fan so just imagine not big Canelo fans, or haters?? Cant lose fans already. 23 u need earn it.

SO we supposed to give fighters a pass for a duck if they bring nothing to the table?? :patsch:patsch

U sounding like you a promoter not a fan. Boxing would be jacked up if everybody though this way. As fans we want our fighters to fight the best but we also know circumstances like Golden Boy-TR feud. but with both fighters with Golden Boy and both ranked in the top 2 and NOBODY ELSE TO FIGHT then it will be a duck.

Its ok, u think its not and I think it is. Rankings will say it is with both ranked in the top 2, both dont have fights lined up, both have been ranked a JMW for years now, and Lara has been dissing him and his whole family, total duck for me

Either he should fight Lara, or move up to 160 where there is rich competition

    This is true.

My thing is if he weights and only fights 2 times this year and fight the winner of Martinez-Cotto I guess it alright. But July 26th is set aside for him. hes only 23, he needs to fight 3 times a year. only 2 times means he'll be like that most years and thats gonna suck!! If he fights anybody but Lara in July i think its a duck

I imagine Canelo is going to take an easier fight and wait to see if Cotto beats Martinez. Then he'll fight Cotto and become lineal champ at middleweight. After that, we'll just have to see.

But he wants the fight to be PPV!! a lesser fight for PPV?

If he fights Molina over Lara then we all know its a duck and u got to be a lover to not say so

An easier fight then Angulo? but another PPV? He needs to fight Lara, no doubt about it.

Canelo would silence a lot of critics by taking on Lara this summer before any prospective move up to 160.

It doesn't make the most financial cents, but it does make the most sense from a legacy perspective to take on essentially the one other top guy at 154 before moving up. It's a good fight with a lot at stake.

Easier than Lara, is what I was thinking. And more exciting for PPV than a Lara fight would be. Something to make him look good, make a lot of money for Oscar and to make sure he's in position for a fight with Cotto if he gets past Martinez. I'm just speculating.
