If Canelo doesn't fight Lara in July 26 its a duck

From what it looks likes .

Canelo has no interest in fighting Lara anytime soon .

Its clear Lara wants it .

 

I'd give Canelo up to a year before I would declare it a duck. Canelo is the real deal...but he is protected because of his star quality. Lara has nothing to lose...of course he is chasing Canelo around trying to get a payday. That fight would not be an easy one for Lara. If Angulo can catch up to him and put him on his a$s, I belive Canelo can.

I like both of these fighters. But, I wouldn't expect it to get made as early as summer or even this year.

 

so canelo fights on july and lara fights on may, canelo has to wait until may to announce his next fight?? lara needs to made him self available if he wants this fight... this fight is really going to need promotion and 6 weeks is not enough to build a potentially snooze, canelos team will announce opponent at least by april and lara wont be available by then... must likely he fights for a ibf or wbc title on july and he will must likely fight lara on november by that time they will unify titles and who knows maybe even the ring title will be on the line, that will be a good way to sell the fight... this unless cotto somehow beats martinez or martinez finds a way out of his network contract ...
so lara-canelo november...

 

Why is Lara suddenly seen as a destroyer? I think Saul beats him pretty cleanly. Saul is looking for the winner of Cotto vs Martinez; either fight would be bigger for Saul than Lara.

lara fights the great ishe smith on fs1 may 2nd.... so july is open for canelo but not so much for lara, and lara knew canelos dates before even signing the fight with ishe, so i wouldnt call it a duck yet....

 

that is not plenty of time to anounce a rival and make a profit on a ppv specially if your dance partner doesnt have a following, imagine canelo waiting until may and then lara doesnt get the w or he ends up injured , ishe made a difficult fight to molina and he can very well do it to lara, you just cant count that out ... sorry my friend but if lara wanted canelo so bad he shouldnt signed for that fs1 crappy fight... anyway canelo already started training and reynoso said they will announce rival within a a few weeks and lara wont be available in a few weeks to be announced as an opponent... canelo waiting for lara is not going to happen, its the other way around...

 

is not the same to do regular showtime fights than ppv fights believe it or not, angulo was signed at the last moment cuz they were waiting on cotto, but either cotto or angulo have twice the fanbase than lara, so to make those fights a ppv it wont be hard, besides angulo is well known among the casuals mexicans and that was the main target for this ppv, now the gate wont be a problem canelo sells out the mgm by him self but the money comes from the ppv not the gate, canelo gets 2 million for every 100k ppvs but he has to sell at least 300k and a lara fight with not much promotion wont guarantee 300k, lara is no draw there is a reason he is fighting on FS1... still that fight has the potential to reach 400k or 500k with the right promotion and most of the titles involved(ibf, wbc,, wba , ring) thats why i think this fight will take place on november , why will they rush this fight on july for peanuts when canelo him self can make over 10 million on november???
