If Canelo doesn't fight Lara in July 26 its a duck

Isn't Lara fighting Ishe Smith in May? Will 2 months be enough time for him?

Anyway, no it's not a duck because boxing is a business.

He will earn much more for fighting someone like Kirkland in what will be a much more exciting and probably easier fight, than fighting someone that a) most people have never heard of, and b) the casuals who have watched him fight, wasn't entertained in the slightest and have no desire to watch him again.

If Canelo 'ducks' Lara to fight someone else for more money, regardless if it's an easier fight or not, then Mayweather also ducked him to fight Maidana.

molina and lara are about the same draw, but i think they can make a lot more with lara if the do the right build up... both champions fighting for the ring title... like i said they wont risk to not make 300k... the molina fight can happen on regular showtime i dont see that as a ppv potential fight...who knows there is also charlo, rabchenko, mundine and may be even kirkland if oscars decides to give him a second chance... one thing i believe canelos next fight will be for a title...

 

Why in the world would Canelo take the fight in Florida and possibly lose a decision: he has his own fan base in Texas and elsewhere where this would be unnecessary and a bad business move.

 

no, you dont get it, lara-canelo makes twice the money on november than july, both will be champions by that time and unify , plus they will have time for city tours and more... you rush it you may not even get 300k to make a profit....

Lara not being a big enough name to sell ppv IS COMPLETE BULL****!!! NOBODY knows who the fcuk Angulo is other than mexicans and mexicans are going to buy the fight regardless because canelo is fighting. the fight did 350,000 ppv and 99% of it was mexicans id bet. canelo and his fans are running scared of lara the same way floyd and his fans were running scared of pacman before he lost to marquez. fake fight fans are so fulla****!

 

70% of those 350k were prob canelo fans, but the rest of the audience wasnt his fans, angulo is well known among mexicans unlike lara, lara just cant draw that is the reason his next fight is on fs1.... angulo has bigger fanbase than lara and he is known as a brawler entertainer unlike lara...
but lets pretend that lara can make the same as angulo on ppv, with almost no time for promotion, even if that was true that doesnt mean they dont want to do more than that, every 100k ppv is a lot of money , they can build it better and make from 400k to 500k on november instead of just 350k on july, but i guees lara is the one in a hurry as canelo is only getting better as he gets closer to prime... canelo is not even prime yet but i will put my money on him if they fight in july, let alone if they fight a year from now , laras chances will be smaller as time goes by...
