If Canelo doesn't take the rematch, who should GGG fight in the meantime?

    if this scenario plays out where Golden Boy have Canelo go the WBO route instead of GGG rematch, who should GGG fight in the meantime?

    he's 35, not getting any younger, he can't sit around and wait til next September for a possible rematch if Canelo/winner of Lemieux-Saunders happens most likely in May.

    what do u think? who should ggg fight instead?

    Loeffler said about a month ago that GGG's next fight will be in May against Canelo. He said it was Bitchnelo's condition for taking the rematch that GGG not fight again before May.

    There's too much money on the table for GGG's guys to walk away from a rematch. So there you go.

    Because GGG could potentially lose before that. Canelo wants to be the first to take that 0 officially and rightfully so since he hot shafted in the first fight anyways.

    Charlo would be the most fun of the mandatory bunch because a bunch of people will turn on him as soon as GGG beats him, if not as soon as the fights announced.

    After Murata knocked out his opponent and won the WBA reg. title I read that Golovkin/Murata fight would be made in Japan. He could knock Charlo out, after all Charlo is the best 160 lb. fighter in boxing history after beating a cripple! Perhaps Golovkin should fight a cripple, then he would get credit like Charlo?

    One of his mandatories to get that out of the way. So, that's either Derevyanchenko (IBF) Murata (WBA) or Charlo a (WBC), and with that said, the most logical step in this case is looking for the one that is due the first (probably Derev because he's the IBF one) instead of who makes him the most money (probably Murata) or the loudest fans want to see (Charlo as he's American).

    Also, this Derev is kinda green and Golovkin might not be able to beat him if it takes place in 2019.

    For me, Murata or Charlo a.
