If you really believe he would still want the fight at Caneloweight if he loses his belt and GGG isn't a mandatory anymore, then it would be a valid option.

Only the WBA will enforce mandatory then, which has to happen first and maybe the full unification after that.
So there would be at least one fight inbetween.

But seriously... Canelo is putting up roadblocks, and is saying that GGG hasn't fought anyone so isn't worthy, and Oscar wants the fight to "marianate" a couple of years.
