If Canelo drops WBC then asks GGG for 155, what excuses will you fans come up with?

You're the guy that says GGG ducked Lara and fighting Froch at 168 is a cherrypick.

You're an utter worthless troll :deal

When it's said the fight should be held at 160, that doesn't mean Canelo has to weigh in at 159.8 before the fight. It means both fighters can weigh in anywhere as long as it isn't above 160. So, Canelo can weigh 155 if he wants to, and Golovkin can weigh in 158/159.

Here, when Pacquiao is training, he is around 141/143 pounds. He has rarely ever come in at the full 147 limit. I'm not sure if he ever has. He usually steps on the scale around 145, and it's normal for him to eat a big meal right before to get his weight up. In reality, he's around 143 (sometimes even lighter) leading up to fight week. But 143 is usually his reported weight weeks leading up to the fight.

Since Pacquiao doesn't ever make the full 147 limit, would it be right for him to ask welterweights to meet him at a catchweight of 143 pounds? No! Pacquiao is still in the welterweight division. Even though he's closer to Jr. WW, and REALLY isn't a welterweight, he respects boxing. He doesn't force welterweights to come down right above junior welterweight just because he isn't a naturally full blown 147 lber.

If you're fighting in the welterweight range and a fight is made, there's no catch weights. Pacquiao comes in wherever he feels comfortable, and the opponent comes in where they feel comfortable. For the fights where Pac did have catch weights, he's is an example of why not call catchweights are bad catch weights. Between two fighters where a size disparity is enormous and a guy is physically a lot stronger, yeah. Totally acceptable in order to make some fighters that before were not possible, now possible. But between two guys who are fighting in the same division and, most importantly, are the same size? No.

So all in all, it's ridiculous for Canelo to ask middleweights to come down to 155 to fight him the same way it'd be ridiculous for Pacquiao to have welterweights come down to 143 to fight him after he's been fighting in that division for years. Pacquiao isn't fighting at junior welterweight anymore. Even if he's closer to that weight class than welter, he still respects the weight classes and allows fighters to come into the full limit if they do please.

So, without the title, forget the catchweight BS. If you're not fighting at junior middleweight then respect the weight class that you're now fighting in. You can come in 155, but don't force anyone to meet you there because you can't create your own weight class. And if you don't like that, then go back down to 154. But Canelo can't. So he's just going have to accept that he's fighting at MW now and respect that.

That would be funny as **** if that happened. With that said I still don't think the WBC will strip Canelo.

You turn every thread on this forum into GGG talk.

    You haven't debated anything.

You aren't capable of having an objective debate regarding GG.

It's beyond you. But if you quit debating like a child, I'll oblige you.

Yes, GG has stepped aside twice. The first time was to let Cotto and Canelo fight. He stepped aside knowing that the winner had to fight him. And what did he do while they were preparing to fight? He fought David Lemieux and took his belt from him. So it was a good decision. He acquired another belt taking him a step further to his ultimate goal. He then stepped aside again when Canelo put in a voluntary request to fight Khan. He took the money and got a mandatory out of the way, again knowing that Canelo has to fight him afterwards or he'll get stripped.

Now if you want to criticise him for stepping aside, that's up to you. You're entitled to your opinion. But if you were objective, you wouldn't criticise the guy who'd accepted the request, but give a pass to the guy who'd put the request in in the first place. But that's what you've done.

GG has a goal to obtain all of the MW belts. And seeing as though he's not a big guy, it's a prestigious division, there's good fights for him there, and SMW isn't particularly hot at the moment, I don't see why he's garnered all of this hate.

Again, I can understand the distaste for the crazy hype when he hasn't done a deal yet, but all of this hate and childish names because he hasn't moved up etc, is just ridiculous.

You need to take a step back and look at things objectively. If you want to hate his hardcore fans or the casuals, that's cool. But don't hate GG, especially when you know that Canelo, Jacobs and Saunders are all stalling on fighting him.

Pacquiao used catch weights when he entered the division. Close but not quite the same. Here's my take so there's no confusion: if Golovkin wants to fight at the full 160 for the title, I believe he is justified and canelo has no right to request lower (well he can request but he should get denied). But if canelo drops the title, Golovkin should be open to discuss, otherwise forget canelo.

I've said what needed to be said about canelo.....I just don't harp on him because his fsns aren't delusional nor do they act like hes the greatest fighter that lived ....it has nothing to do with being incapable of being objective

I don't care if he moves up or not....just don't attempt to move up for certain guys but duck the best fighter from that division .....and then when u do that have your fans make every excuse imaginable for why ducked him or just outright deny that it ever happened

The idea of Andre having needed tune ups for GG isn't a myth. It's realistic.

The man's only fought 4 times in 4 and a half years.

Ward said in the summer of 2015 he was ready...I can pull up the quote.....the idea of ward needing tuneups is made up
