He has the talent to trouble Floyd for periods in the fight, but I don't think he can have sustained success. Loses 8-4, 9-3, something along those lines.

Easy work for Mayweather. Canelo's feet are way too slow, his conditioning isn't good and his best attribute is actually that he is a good boxer. He out boxed Trout where he showed good counter punching, really good defense and nice power. The problem is, there is no universe where Canelo can outbox Mayweather. He will struggle to connect with anything, his defense will be more or less meaningless against the most accurate puncher in this decade and his conditioning is a huge disadvantage. He can't even be competitive with Mayweather. His size and power will not be a factor because his feet are too slow to get him in a position to land. This will be Mayweather's easiest fight at 154.

It will probably be a shut out and will be easier than the first 11 rounds of Martinez v. Chavez. The foot speed differential between Mayweather and Canelo is greater than the differential between Chavez and Martinez. Canelo's power is not nearly as scary or said differently Chavez's power is greater than Canelo's p4p so there is no opportunity for a round 12 of Chavez v. Martinez. Add that to the fact that Canelo is not a pressure fighter and will likely try to box with Mayweather.

Easy work for Mayweather. This is so easy to see. Gurrero is a much harder fight. His sparring sessions leading up to the match will be harder.

Canelo would push Floyd hard I think. Floyd doesn't seem to be as hard to find as he used to, and I think Canelos power would trouble Floyd.

Judging by the way Floyd fought in the Cotto fight, Mayweather is going to be in trouble with a Canelo that comes in 170+ on fight night.

But I really want to see how Floyd looks against Guerrero to see if he still does have his legs. Because if Floyd has not lost a step, he can pop shot Canelo all day from the outside. Floyd is faster, more accurate, and his shots have more pop than Trout. Trout couldn't even redden Canelo's pasty face with his shots.

The biggest obstacle I see for Floyd is Canelo's size on fight night. The ginger kid is heavy handed and strong.

One thing you have to consider is that Canelo gets better with each fight. Yes, I am Mexican, but I am not a rabid Canelo supporter or fan boy. I have been one of his biggest critics. But I will give props where it's due, and I did see somethings from the Ginger kid that impressed me. However I had the fight with Trout very close it was not a domination.

It is a dangerous fight for Floyd due to Canelo's size but I just do not see Floyd lose to someone with little speed of foot, hands, 8 round gas tank.

I am believing to think that he can. Floyd is past it now and I anticipate him coming up short for the first time in his career during his 6 fight contract with Showtime.

Canelo has a great chance of beating Mayweather because unlike most other Mexicans that mayweather face, canelo wont be a 1 dimensional Mexican fighter that is all offense but no defense. Canelo improved his defense a lot in which shows vs trout. He made trout miss a lot and did the mayweather uppercuts counter on the ropes. Plus mayweather at 35 or 36 don't have the legs like he use too. If mayweather don't bring back his legs? Canelo will be the first one to finally end the undefeated streak of mayweather.

Slap yourself. Seriously you really think mayweather is still in his prime? He beat a decline cotto in a close fight in which cotto bust mayweather's nose. If a smaller cotto could do that, what make u think canelo who is getting to be a prime form and is far younger and much bigger cant?

I think he can win, but Floyd would probably win a decision. I think Floyd is one of the most skilled guys we ever had fight, but he just does not take risks.

I tihkn mit would be one of the best fights of all time. Canelo would make Mayweather fight way more then he wants to. which will leave him a little open but you"ll see why Mayweather is one of the best boxers of all time. I say Mayweather by decision, both boxers bloody real bad

Canelos hand speed, accuracy and power would trouble Floyd, I could see Canelo winning...Floyd won't take that fight as he thinks the same

Yeah it would thats why i think it woulkd be a classic.

Mayweather will take any fight he wants. He'll fight Canelo if he wants to. so many fightys people said mayweather wouldnt take and he has. Started from Corrales, to a rematch with Castillo to Mosley, so many. people need to stop
