If Canelo gets this WBO belt....

I'm not too sure that it's such a big deal, actually it seems to me that Canelo is more likely to fight GGG than BJS is. So it might be easier to unify MW if Canelo gets the WBO belt.

Last time BJS demanded crazy money that K2 couldn't afford, he's probably going to want 8 figures to fight Canelo. And remember that K2 and GBP have both negotiated with him in the past to no avail.

Then, if somehow the negotiations are complete, BJS has a track record of postponements, injuries, cancellations, etc. He could keep his opponent inactive for ages.

 

Saunders isn't getting 8 figures, 2-5 million max is my guess.

If the WBO is making Canelo the mandatory then its fight Canelo or be stripped.

Ggg needs to fight a credible opponent. His opportunities to become immortalized are dwindling.

As far as Canelo, he's the last elite fighter that should be called a coward. Here is a man that has proven to take the toughest challenges even though he hasn't needed too.

 

Look BJS clearly doesn't deserve 8 figures, but IMHO he has delusions as to how much he's worth.

He's wanted crazy money so far for both GGG and Rosado, such that K2 and GBP had to scratch the fights.

It will put immense pressure on him to unify. But I do want GGG to get that belt first because cucknelo is a ****.

 

Being the mando isn't going to mean anything as far as the money goes in this case. GBP and Canelo will still dictate the terms. Tell me when a star fighter has ever been dictated to, against the lower tier fighters, mandatory or not? You guys will see, and shouldn't be getting your hopes up too high..lol... BJS makes more money than Canelo in their fight?

 

Its a sad resume when someone like Jacobs is your best win. An old shot feather fisted Sergio Mora who went life and death with a much smaller more shot older Shane Mosley almost KTFO Jacobs.. 8-1 underdog.

Alvarez has not had a single fight at the 160 limit. His two MW fights were at 155 at his opponent's request, or in the case of Cotto, "demand".

Ggg will always get criticized for blowing opportunities to fight elite opponents.

 

Not the way boxing works. Saunders will get his biggest payday by far, but he isn't making anything close to what Canelo is making.

 

It'll pave the way for other belts doing the same so we'll barely ever get a fully unified champion. Belts are for duck artists.

 

The GGGOONS are hoping and praying Canelo gets 25%... it isn't going to happen!!! Deal with it haters!

If your the LW WBO champion for example and you decide to move up to JrWW, you go from champ at LW to #1 contender for the WBO JrWW title.
