If Canelo has success against Kovalev, will the pressure be on Old Man Loma to move up and fight TC?

    Or at least Pac?

Wouldn't it still be worth giving up the prestigious Franchise Championship to have a shot at solidifying hisself as the true p4p Top Dawg?

Its a perfectly legitimate question. And if you don't like my posts so much why are you always first to run on and answer them?
    Clout chase much?

No, Canelo moved up for Kovalev for no apparent reason other than to fight the best. Loma has more in his division to deal with.

I know to people like you, Loma has already cemented his legacy as the greatest athlete to ever don a jockstrap...
But when you have other highly ranked fighters like Canelo and dare i say even Usyk challenging themselves by moving up in weight to try to make a name for themselves, I would say it is a fair question to ask if Loma, who some claim is the most scientifical fighter ever, plans to do the same.

Of course there is nothing wrong with staying put and dominating the weight division hes in like the guys in the 90s used to do, but there are big superfights out there waiting for Loma if he wants them.

The answer is, he already moved up and is fighting way out of his weightclass. He looks like a damn midget in there.

Loma has cemented a legacy at this point already. That's not for debate. What his legacy will be when he RETIRES (See, that's when you look at their legacy, when they retire smart guy), is being written still. Do I think he's the greatest in the sense you describe jock straps? Hell no. You clearly want anyone who opposed your opinion to be looked at as some crazed fan, but that's not me. I recognize posters who are full of sh*t and have some irrational hatred due to what "Fans say"...

So go on believing you HAVE to move up to be great. More power to ya with that!

He's had a fine legacy, but im sick of these new age fan boys running around proclaiming his top p4p status then screaming like a woman having her baby snatched from her anytime someone floats the idea of Loma moving up for a superfight.

You don't think Canelo's not going to be a midget at Light Heavy? I dont even like canelo!! He's a smug little diva red headed kid masquerading as La Raza...but GUESS WHAT!?! Canelo's going out there and proving his greatness, just like Ray Leonard did!
He already did move up in weight and people like you were predicting GGG to steam roll right through him! And if he actually does beat Kovalev he WILL be undisputed #1 P4P for moving up 3 weight classes and beating elite champions in 2 of those weight classes along the way!

And 30 years from now people will still be talking about his accomplishments while Loma will be long forgotten

Clenelo was coming in as high as 172 and 174 six years ago down at 154

160 Clenelo weighs 178-180 in the ring

Kovalev weighed 180 and 182 for his last 2 fights

Loma weighed 138 for Linares and Pedraza at 135

Crawford was coming in as high as 153 when he campaigned at 135 and he weighed more down at 135 than career 140 pounder Postol weighed against him and he had 5lbs on Postol when they fought each other

Crawford weighed more down at 140 three years ago than career 147 pounder Horn did against him. Crawford was 157 against Postol and Diaz, Horn weighed about 155 against Crawford. Crawford would've had at least 7lbs on career 147 pounder Horn.

Crawford has been rehydrating 15-18lbs in every division he's campaigned in and the 147lb version of him must weigh 162 at the very least.

Here he is weighing somewhere in the region of the 160s and 170s (so at least late 160s) still looking very lean and mean. 147 was always his natural weight class.

Why doesn't Crawford move up to 160 instead if he can't get a big fight at welterweight? You won't demand that right?
