, Then how come floyd mayweather gets absolutely no credit ever for schooling the cinabum for 12 rounds?
If I remember correctly this board was head over heels after Floyd schooled him, he got credit for it, although it could be seen as a cherry pick, Floyd saw his then limitations with Trout, and fought him before he could mature and fix the holes in his game at 23, when he was ripe for the picking.
Well some people throw out the catchweight issue. I personally feel it was a very good win that has the opportunity to look better in time (if Canelo goes on to be the ppv star they are pushing him to be)
I never gave Floyd any credit because I know Canelo collapsed and had to be carried to the IV room right after weigh in, he was that badly drained.
Canelo is a very talented young fighter. It was an excellent win for Floyd. This forum is in a state. Every fighters resume gets shat on and people are clueless.
Because Floyd doesn't get any credit from anyone but his fanboys on this site, very few unbiased people on this site.
He deserves some credit, but the fight was at catch weight and at 23 Canelo was green. He's probably still to peak and in reality Canelo is good but still has a lot to prove.
Because it was another flatfooted, stand there and come ahead fighter!! In the last 10-12 years out side of zab who has floyd fought with (movement, speed, footwork, jab, counterpuching ability and didn't just come straight ahead) I'll give yall Oscar, he did use his jab effective for a little while! But out of 15 years, floyd has fought the same type fighters time in and time out! Even with southpaws, outside of zab. Nun of the southpaws had any of the above! Chop Chop TRIED, but he still didn't have any of the above!! But sure the floyd lovers will get on my has soon about TBE!!....Business wise yea he's the TBE in boxing..with the help of Haymon and L.E!
There was a rumor that Haymon paid Canelo $5 million to lose. That just doesn't sit with me right, especially considering how lackluster Canelo's performance was. I don't know what to think. If it was legitimate win, it was a good win, despite Canelo being drained. Mayweather is a hypocrite though.
That wouldn't really make a whole lot of sense for Canelo. Winning the fight would make him way more.
