What has weight got to do with skills. If you got skills, you got skills. Yall act like because the fight was at 152. Canelo automatically lost all his skills. GET REAL FOLKS.
Floyd didn't catch him, He called Floyd out. As a matter of fact he demanded a fight with Floyd and got what his hand called for. To be honest, I haven't seen any improvement from him at all. He's the same fighter before and after the fight with Floyd.
it's just not fair to forget corruption in boxing when floyd fights are discussed. other fighters are suspected of fixed fights and floyd is no exemption just because he has great skills. he is to me even the most suspect since he is always involved in big money fights where they really put a lot of money in every fight promotion. floyd is not unbeatable but canelo is not that good and he did not show a fighter with a champion's heart.
Canelo was begging for it. Many were saying Floyd was ducking him. Floyd schools the **** out of him. Case closed. Canelo looked fresher at the end of this fight than I thought he would. And so there goes the drained theory. He still had a lot of pop on his punches by the 12th round.
Before Floyd chose Canelo, " Floyd will never fight Canelo, Floyd is ducking Canelo. Floyd won't fight Canelo because Canelo is young and strong. Floyd only fights guys past their prime." After Floyd schools Canelo, " Floyd cherry picked Canelo. Canelo was too young. Canelo is flat footed. He picked him before he matured." ........ I usually don't give a lot of credit to Floyd, but this fight changed my opinion of him . Everyone was excited for this fight . And lots of ppl thought Canelo could at least hang with him . And Floyd absolutely schooled him. But ppl hate him so much they can't give him any credit. Same ppl who claimed he was cherry picking Khan when he was gonna fight him. Then he chooses Maidana, beats him twice, niw ppl say he is ducking khan. Yet if he picks khan, then he ll be ducking Manny. If he picks Manny, it's a cherry pick because it's too late.
floyd him self doesnt give credit to catchweight fights... and if you add to that canelo was still green... i gave him credit, just not full credit...
Yes, Alvarez was very young but he was without a doubt the No. 1 junior middleweight after beating Trout and it's even more impressive after Canelo beat Lara, too.
After I saw canelo looking like he had the plague and sitting on a folding chair at the weigh-inÂ….IT WAS A FARCE. 0.0% credit given. Canelo (154-155) is tremendously talented though.
Floyd himself said it best: I still consider Canelo to be undefeated because he fought at a catchweight
