If Canelo loses to Cotto, he'll be alright. still young and long career ahead

    I Can see it now...

    "No way he should've lost to a blwon up WW"
    "He's never gonna be good, Oscar needs to stop hyping him"
    "he should've destroyed Cotto"
    "He needs a new trainer if hes gonna get better"
    "What is Canelo gonna do now, his career is in shambles"
    "he can never win the big fight"

    Lets break this down now

    First off Cotto is not a blown up WW SO CUT THE ****!!! hes not a full middle weight but the man left WW a long time ago

    Canelo has some great skills and is only 25. he can definitely get better so dont say he cant.

    Destroyed Cotto!?!?! BASED ON WHAT!!! Cotto is better in every aspect of boxing compared to Canelo so stop with "he should've destroyed Cotto" that means YDKSAB!!

    Canelo can never win a big fight? I dont know. I think the Trout was preety big, especially in his career. you could argue that was the 2 best Junior middle weights in the sport at the time, oscar didnt want him to fight and he still took the fight. Now its not as big as Mayweather or Cotto but it was a big fight for him. so i'd rather no hear that excuse.

    Canelo needs a new trainer?? Now this i agree with. I think for him to take the next step he needs somebody else to take him there. there's a few fighters like him, Broner, a few others i think have serious talent but need a new trainer to help them get there. If you dont think a trainer can really make a difference your crazy then.

    Whats Canelo gonna do now? theres still plenty of fights. Charlos, Andrade, maybe a rematch with Cotto if its kinda of close or they give him the decision and everybody knows it. or just move to middle weight SINCE HIS ASS IS A MIDDLE WEIGHT ALREADY!! and him vs Andy Lee, Jacobs,Quillen, so many fights for him.

    So lets save of the wack threads of Canelo is done or this and that. the kid is 25, relax already!! or maybe everyone can bump this thread and say IDKSAB!! lol, we shall see :good:good:bbb:bbb

    Sorry but I disagree with you. He's 25 the time is now to step on the gas. I cut him slack with FMJ but not with Cotto. Mexico has been hyping this dude.... let's see. He needs to pass these types of tests if he's gonna seperate himself from the rest of the pack.

    Agreed. I won't hate on him if he loses because Cotto is more skilled, but Canelo has almost all the physical advantages and isn't that young that he can keep getting passes at the elite level. People act like Canelo has an eternity to improve and become a HOF/ATG level fighter. We're seeing a lot of young guys burn out earlier (Rios, Ortiz, Juan Diaz, Josesito Lopez,. An early start doesn't necessarily mean a longer prime. It could just mean early retirement. So while winning or losing tomorrow doesn't guarantee whether he'll make it to that level, it's a distinct sign of where he might head before he retires.
